    At the Chair of International Management, Department of Business Administration, Faculty of Business, Economics and Information Technology, University of Zurich, Switzerland, we are looking for a:

    Research and Teaching Associate at the postdoc or doctoral student level

    Responsibilities

    The successful candidate will:

    -     Conduct independent research projects.

    -     Collaborate on ongoing research projects at the chair.

    -     Support teaching activities, including supervision of student theses, preparation of course materials, and assistance with teaching formats.

    -     Contribute to the administrative and organizational tasks of the chair.

    Requirements

    -    Master degree for the PhD position and PhD for the Postdoctoral position, in Business Administration or neighboring fields such as Applied Economics, or Industrial Engineering and Management with a focus on strategic management and interest in the research topics at the Chair of International Management.

    -    Expertise in quantitative methods or simulation methods, demonstrated for example in the master or doctoral thesis. 

    -    For PhD applicants, strong potential to develop and publish research results in international top journals demonstrated for instance through a research-oriented thesis. For Postdoctoral applicants, demonstrated, for instance, by published papers, or work under review or accepted at conferences. Applicants should also have developed a research program of international stature. Applicants should be willing to develop a research portfolio aligned with the research at the Chair of International Management.

    -     Excellent command of English (oral and written). German is a plus.

    The planned start date is October 1, 2025, with a later start date possible upon agreement. The position is initially for three years with the possibility to extend on a yearly basis upon positive evaluation.
