Department of Management
The Department of Management at City University of Hong Kong invites applications for one open-ranked tenure-track faculty position. The successful candidate should ideally have a minimum of 2-3 years of experience as a faculty member at a reputable business school. Candidates must have a PhD or near its completion in Management or related disciplines (including but not limited to Entrepreneurship, Human Resources Management, International Business, Organisational Behavior, and Strategic Management), and should demonstrate strong potential to publish in top-tier management journals as well as teaching excellence in the classroom. Teaching experience at the postgraduate and executive levels is a plus but not required. The successful candidate will also be expected to make contributions through service to the Department, the University, and/or the broader academic community.
The faculty members in the Department of Management have published in top-tier management journals such as the Academy of Management Journal, Academy of Management Review, Journal of Applied Psychology, Journal of Management, Organization Behavior and Human Decision Processes, Organization Science, Personnel Psychology, and Strategic Management Journal, and others. Our department currently includes Bonnie Cheng, Long Wang, Jane Lu, Chak Fu Lam, Stan Xiao Li, Ningrong Liu, Maris Martinsons, Muammer Ozer, You Jin (YJ) Kim, Mary Pang, Anurag Gupta, Joohyung Kim, Haeyoung Koo, Wenjie Liu, Kyeonggook Park, Donghyun Shin, Shi Tang, and Junhyok Yim.
Salary and Conditions of Service
Remuneration package will be driven by market competitiveness and individual performance. Excellent fringe benefits include gratuity, leave, medical and dental schemes, and relocation assistance (where applicable). Appointment will be made on a fixed-term contract.
