PDW "Fostering Publications from Around the World in Leading Organization and Strategy Journals."
CALL FOR MANUSCRIPTS
Organized by STR Global Representatives - Academy of Management 2023
Submission Deadline: June 20, 2023
Description:
We acknowledge an astounding number of pertinent research projects being conducted worldwide by various researchers. We also acknowledge that many of these scholars, particularly those from underrepresented regions, need more support to publish their work in prestigious and widely recognized academic journals. Given the current limitations, researchers outside of major academic centers often face difficulties in reaching wider audiences and making a meaningful impact in their field. This PDW aims to address this issue by providing valuable assistance to such researchers. Through practical guidance and support, the workshop aims to equip participants with the necessary tools and strategies to achieve successful publication outcomes, thereby enhancing the visibility and recognition of their work.
PDW Format:
The PDW consists of three highly interactive sessions, which complement each other.
· Editor's Panel: Current editors from leading journals will share their experience in handling manuscripts from diverse geographic regions. The discussions will focus on critical topics such as framing research projects for publication, understanding the unique requirements of different outlets, and overcoming language difficulties.
· Global Scholars Panel: Renowned scholars from various parts of the world will share their experiences, successes and challenges in publishing their research. They will provide insights into the review process, sharing valuable strategies to navigate the publication journey successfully.
· Paper Development Session (only for participants with submitted manuscripts): During this session, registered participants will have the opportunity to receive feedback and guidance from the facilitators. The facilitators will provide suggestions on how to enhance the quality of the submitted manuscripts. The PDW will guide registered participants through a comprehensive process of identifying potential gaps and weaknesses in their research. The PDW will foster an ongoing dialogue that addresses different types of research articles (quantitative, qualitative, theoretical, etc).
Obs: No pre-registration is needed for the Editor's Panel and the Global Scholar´s Panel.
To register in the Paper Development Session, please email SandroC2@insper.edu.br and edgar.ramirez@tec.mx with a completed and edited manuscript you plan to submit to a peer-reviewed research journal, before June 20, 2023. The results of the PDW selection process will be communicated via email to the selected scholars by June 30, 2023.
