Abstract: Alliances have been an important phenomenon within strategy research since the inception of the field. Across several decades, a rich body of knowledge has accumulated on the ways alliances allow organizations to formulate and execute cooperative strategies. Today, historical trends including digitization, the rise of AI, and the need to address grand challenges render alliances as relevant as ever. This virtual panel will bring together a set of leading scholars for a lively discussion that spotlights foundational ideas from alliance research and identifies key topics at the frontier of strategy research.
