This is to announce the Strategic Management Society's first-ever Virtual Workshop Conference on July 21, 2026. We aim to bring the energy and rigor of our Annual Conference workshops into an accessible, fully online format. With small-group, 120-minute sessions, participants will receive expert feedback, strengthen research and teaching capabilities, and connect with colleagues from around the world.
Sessions include:
- Teaching Strategy Concepts and Cases in the Age of AI;
- Advancing Early Stage Research Ideas toward Funding Opportunities;
- SEJ Editors Panel and Interactive Research Idea Development Workshop;
- AI across the Research Pipeline: Principles and Applications;
- Global Strategy Journal Paper Development Workshop;
- SMS Junior Faculty Paper Development Workshop: Virtual Extension;
- Publishing and Reviewing at SMSJ: an Interactive Workshop;
- Publishing Qualitative Research in Strategy Journals: Debunking Myths and Sharing Experiences;
- Strategic Management in Emerging Industries.
Applications are open through June 5, 2026, and individuals may apply to up to two workshops, with select sessions available to all. We are offering discounted fees for participants from South America, Africa, Asia, and Oceania.
