We are pleased to invite papers for our Multinational Business Review (MBR) Special Issue on "Multinational enterprises, sustainability and innovation in the digital age: Global, regional and local perspectives", guest-edited by Simon Collinson, Andre Sammartino, Ans Kolk and Jonathan Doh.

Two emerging developments motivate this Special Issue. First, digital technologies offer new potential to enhance firm-level capabilities for coordinating and adapting cross-border networks, while reshaping competitive dynamics between incumbents, startups, and scale-ups. Second, China's ascendancy as both innovator and regulator-particularly in new energy technologies-and its growing geopolitical influence demand renewed scholarly attention.

Opening date for submissions: 01/07/2026 .

    Closing date: 20/10/2026 .

We will also be holding a workshop on the SI topic in May 2026, at Zhejiang University (Hangzhou) immediately before our ZJU IB Themed Conference. Please send abstracts or full papers to Simon (tsingshanprof02@outlook.com) or Andre (samma@unimelb.edu.au) for consideration.

    Best wishes,
