The fields of Strategy and Innovation often overlap, and in many settings are closely intertwined. Academically, they are sometimes housed in separate units, sometimes treated as one and the same. Researchers across the two areas frequently engage with similar questions: How do firms generate and scale new ideas? When should firms invest in emerging technologies or business models? How can organizations structure themselves to generate innovation and use this to supercharge their competitive advantage? And how do firms adapt their strategies in the face of technological change? This session will bring together leading scholars to share their perspectives on their respective research areas, discuss work that spans Strategy and Innovation, and explore where future opportunities for research might lie.
The panel discussion will be followed by a Q&A session.
