We are delighted to announce that the Strategic Management Division will once again sponsor a Mid-Career Consortium during the 2026 Annual Meeting of the Academy of Management in Philadelphia.
The Consortium is designed for STR faculty members who attained tenure on or before August 2025 and possess a minimum of five years of academic experience. It will include panel discussions featuring senior faculty members from business schools around the world, as well as break-out and Q&A sessions, providing mid-career faculty members with the opportunity to interact with each other and with the panel of senior faculty. This interactive session aims to foster meaningful discussions about the opportunities and challenges faced by scholars making the transition from junior to senior roles in diverse kinds of business school. We will create an opportunity to share ideas and learn from each other in a friendly and open environment. We will also organize an optional dinner the evening before the event to warm us up for frank discussions. Participants will be able to contribute questions or topics for discussion beforehand via the registration form above.
The following panelists will participate: Theresa Cho (SNU Business School, Korea), Maria De Villa (EAFIT, Colombia), Aaron Hill (University of Florida, USA), Samina Karim (Northeastern, USA) and Elena Novelli (Bayes Business School, University of London, UK).
The 2026 STR Mid-Career Consortium will be co-chaired by Cindy Devers (Virginia Tech, USA) and Richard Whittington (Oxford University, UK): please reach out to either or both of us for inquiries. The event usually takes place on the Sunday of the Annual Meeting, but please note that the timing is subject to AOM's scheduling approval and will be confirmed in Spring 2026.
