These are open to all STR members – whether you are attending the AOM annual meeting or not (and please let us know if you are interested in hosting a virtual social hour in July around a theme you identify). Please join us for an exciting Oxford/Cambridge style debate will consider whether we need a new theory of the “international firm,” given all of the major changes in the world. The “for” side include Peter Buckley (University of Leeds) and Alain Verbeke (University of Calgary) and the “against” side includes David Teece (University of California, Berkeley) and Jay Barney (University of Utah). This debate is organized and moderated by Ilgaz Arikan (Kent State University).
