    Dear colleagues,

We are delighted to invite abstract submissions for the 11th annual Entrepreneurship as Practice (EAP 11) Conference 2026.

Venue: University of Liverpool Management School, Liverpool, UK

    Date: 7-10 April 2026

Theme: "Entrepreneuring and Knowing From the Inside: A dialogue between entrepreneurship processes and practices" (refer to the EAP website for a detailed call for abstracts)

Who should attend: Whether you are a PhD student, early career scholar or a seasoned scholar curious about how process and practice theories can inform your entrepreneurship research, this Conference is for you. It is possible to participate in this conference even without a 'paper'.

The goal of EAP 11 is to explore and re-examine the relation between practices of inquiry in entrepreneurship studies and the forms of knowledge to which they give rise. In line with the theme for this year's conference we seek both conceptually rigorous and empirically relevant contributions that advance entrepreneurship theory and practice. Further details about EAP 11 can be found by clicking on the link below:

We have designed an intellectually stimulating program that fosters debates and a lively exchange of views. First, we have four distinguished keynote speakers offering fresh perspectives on entrepreneurship theory and practice. We are delighted and honoured to welcome:

    Keynote Speakers

Professor Jeffery S. McMullen from Imperial Business School whose research on entrepreneurial action offers opportunities for rethinking entrepreneurship in a changing world

Professor Raghu Garud from PennState University who has pioneered the use of 'process-research' within innovation and entrepreneurship.

Professor Boukje Cnossen from Leuphana University Luneburg whose research on organizing practices in the arts and other creative settings opens new ways of thinking about the role of space and materiality in bringing new social collectives into being.

Albert Read who is the current Non Exec Chairman of The Standard and Former Managing Director of Conde Nast UK. He is also author of the bestseller "The Imagination Muscle"

Second, we are hosting several interactive roundtable sessions specifically targeted at doctoral students and early career scholars. These sessions provide opportunities for developmental feedback, in-depth conversations and intellectual collaborations. We are grateful to have a dedicated group of colleagues who will facilitate these roundtables together with us, including Neil Thompson, Orla Bryne, Mike Zundel, Robert Blackburn and Christian G Johnsen among others.  Their expertise and commitment will help create an encouraging and developmental environment for emerging scholarship.

Third, we have some exciting social events associated with this Conference including Networking and Dinner at the Beatles Story Museum (Day 1) and a Conference Gala Dinner at Victoria Gallery and Museum (Day 2).

Fourth, this year's conference also focuses on 'Entrepreneurship Education' and we will be hosting book launches for "A Very Short, Fairly Interesting and Reasonably Cheap Book About Entrepreneurship" written by Mike Zundel and Christian G. Johnsen and "Social Entrepreneurship in Practice: Learn how to create and manage a successful social enterprise" edited by Zeineb Djebali

We warmly encourage you to submit your research to EAP 11. We would particularly welcome contributions that engage with entrepreneurship processes and practices to broaden our understanding of entrepreneurship theory and practice. We look forward to receiving your submissions.

Please submit your 500 word (max) Abstract by Saturday, 17th January, 2026, 17:00 BST. The submission link can be found on the conference webpage:
