We're recruiting Ph.D. students for the 2026 cycle in the Entrepreneurship Ph.D. program at Louisiana State University's E. J. Ourso College of Business.
This is a theory-driven program designed for students interested in entrepreneurship at the intersection of strategy, innovation, corporate entrepreneurship, sustainability, and institutional environments - including work on entrepreneurial processes, platforms, ecosystems, and technology-intensive markets. We welcome conceptual, qualitative, and quantitative research traditions.
Doctoral students work closely with faculty mentors and are encouraged to pursue early coauthorship and develop research with the potential to speak both to leading academic journals and broader audiences.
Senior faculty mentors include Gideon Markman and Ted Waldron, whose work spans entrepreneurship, innovation, and organizational theory and appears in outlets such as AMR, AMJ, JBV, SMJ, SEJ, and JOM.
The program is fully funded (assistantship, tuition remission, competitive stipend, health insurance, and conference support).
Priority deadline: February 15, 2026
Start date: August 2026
